That is a fantastic idea. We should be able to group our contacts somehow. Check out this post ref creating groups for you Google Wave contacts - http://www.masteringwave.com/2009/11/using-groups-in-google-wave/

It would be great to group Contacts, for example:
Aravind
Bloggy
Rosie
Sveta
XYZ
ABC
Sergey
TTB

Now I want to be able to separate friends from bots, I remember what are bots and who are friends.

I would think, grouping is a best option that we could have or maybe something similar.

Hi Guys,
I am kind of excited to use Google wave. It looks great! I have one suggestion though.
It would be great if the gadgets are managed with in the wave, so that when ever I create a new wave, I don't have to enter the xml url.
Some thing like Add to favorite gadgets. Then we should be able to select the favorite gadget when the add gadget button is clicked.
That's the only suggestion I have for today. I'll post few more if I find any tomorrow.

I got my wave invite - logged in and freaked to see the creepy semi-stalker ex co worker on my wave contact list. I deleted him from my contacts. But based on what others have related I could still be in his contact list if he's got me in his contacts even though I deleted him from mine. And evidently he can see if I'm logged in even though I've deleted him from my contacts.

"If a Wave user is online, Wave adds a small green dot to the bottom right corner of that person's icon anywhere it appears in the Wave client—from the Contacts panel and Search panel to open waves. If you see a green dot on a contact's icon, they'll see your ping straightaway."

There needs to be privacy and blocking settings for wave - I want to control who can see me, and have some default controls. Otherwise this can be another form of Facebook stalking. My FB privacy settings are cranked down tight.

This is bad, bad, bad. That needs to be addressed like it is in IM clients with an invisible mode and a block function. Otherwise the only way to get away from the stalker types is to get a new google account/email address.

the best thing for google wave is if you talked about it on google wave. it needs a larger user base to truly shine, as well as app development and ui improvement. right now it's a prototype, and very early, so features are still in the works. I dislike that settings and profile options are treated as waves too. I would rather they were treated similarly to all google pages.

Really interesting. I do like they have a way to vote for the ideas, otherwhice it would not be possible to find the best ideas.
