The second installment of our Developer Spotlight belongs to withWAVES. This is a developer site we highlight in an earlier blog post about AmazonBot.
Well the four guys that work at withWAVES have been hard at work and have developed a few more robots that I think you will agree are excellent.
First up is the eBayBot, it is described as:
A Robot and gadget – which enables social product research, auctions and shopping on ebay.com. Wave participants can share auctions & information with contacts in real-time thanks to automatic queries by the eBayBot against conversation keywords.

Next is the AmazonMP3Bot, they describe it to be:
A robot and gadget – which enables social mp3 music research and shopping onAmazon.com. The AmazonMP3Bot gadget and bot can detect audio products and return inline links based on a Wave conversation or keyword query auto detecting artist name, song title, or album.

Lastly, AmazonBot got an upgrade:
We realized that as convenient as it is to carry a conversation on Google Wave with the AmazonBot running in the background, the results may be too scattered. A simple query for ‘iPhone’ may return results from Amazon Books, Electronics or Wireless. Now you can trigger a query for results from a single department both inside of a conversation or from the gadget itself.

The guys at withWAVES have definitely been busy and we applaud their great efforts. Look for updates to their work in the next edition (Nov) of Wave Blogger Newsletter. The developer group chosen for the Developer Spotlight also gets highlighted in the newsletter.
I had already mentioned in my previous post on AmazonBot why I think these types of Robots and Gadgets will be important. I encourage you go back and read the entire post. However, here is my excerpt:
Imagine every website with their own robot. You are surfing along find a store or service that you interested. You install the robot and open up the wave to your fellow business partners and start discussing what you want. Imagine what can be done with wedding lists, Xmas lists, etc, etc.
